LIFE AND MISSION

Women of the Word, Dominican
nuns are called to holiness of life through communal living,
profession of the evangelical counsels, private and liturgical
prayer, lectio divina, study, regular monastic observance,
and adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.
Zeal
for the Gospel is a fire of God burning within. Faith tells us that
this unseen fire travels throughout the world giving God's strength
and power to the words and deeds of all their Dominican brothers and
sisters in the active ministry.
The nuns unite themselves closely with the great compassionate heart
of St Dominic. Their intercessory prayer becomes one with his cry:
"Lord Jesus, what is to become of poor sinners!"
