Our Role in the Universal Church
As a people made one in the unity of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, the Church manifests the mystery of the Father's plan to restore all things in Christ. In the heart of the Church, through our Baptism and religious consecration, our Dominican monastic community incarnates this reality by offering the gift of our lives in true communion of mind and heart in God.
We will fulfill this role by
- Witnessing to the mystery of the Church at prayer through her liturgical and contemplative life, dispensing the gift of God's Redemption;
- Embracing a renewed understanding of our role in the mission of the Church and our relationship to today’s culture and the world in which we live;
- Becoming a more visible sign in preaching the transforming Word of God through religious, cultural and artistic endeavors;
- Welcoming women to discern their calling to the monastic life.
