Our Role in the Church of New York
Since every aspect of our Dominican life at Corpus Christi Monastery exemplifies the goals of the Holy Preaching, our community is itself an expression of the Church in New York, spiritually rooted in one place, and linked by a bond of communion with the Bishop of our Archdiocese.
We will fulfill this role by
- Participating in the formation of the Church in New York;
- Being a welcoming presence of Christ in our Bronx community;
- Implementing ministries, programs, services and other initiatives to fulfill our mission in the Dominican monastic tradition;
- Being responsible stewards for the gifts we receive.
